Join the #MindfulMidwinter challenge
My papa has a lot of aphorisms that I’ve heard a million times over. The one that seems the most used lately is “pray to God but keep your powder dry.” Trust and have faith, but do your best to prepare for whatever might happen.
November, December and January are some of my favorite months - my birthday, all the best holidays, and so many candles. That feeling of bliss can so often get shaded by the cold, dreary, gloomy.
Last winter, I took preemptive precautions to keep my seasonal depression at arms length by sharing my mindfulness practices with you all on IG using the hashtag #mindfulmidwinter. It really helped me, at least, to stay grounded and thoughtful of the way I was choosing to show up for myself and others.
This year, we’ll add a whiff of isolation that has pervaded all of 2020. So we’re going to do it again.
Over the next 12 weeks, I'll share a weekly email digest with mindfulness exercises, breathwork practice, journal prompts, and stories to explore the experiences at the nadir of the year.
Sign up to receive these emails HERE.
Grab a blanket, a candle, something warm to drink, and let's bank the coals against the gloom.
xx
