The winds have shifted, friend!
The past few weeks, I've taken time to step back and reset my sails for the rest of the year. It's safe to say that none of us are where we thought we would be at this point in the year. But we keep pushing ahead, adapting, adjusting, and learning.
There's a Zen Buddhist koan that has been on my heart a lot lately:
Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
The work doesn't stop. Not ever. Not because you think you've had a "breakthrough" and not because you get bored of it.
I also call this "rowing the boat." It's easy to cruise along towards your dream life when the wind is at your back, when people are applauding you and inviting you to participate. It's more difficult to keep working towards that golden future when the motivation won't come, or when the emails go unanswered. But when the sails won't fill, we row the boat.
This week, the winds have changed and I've got some big things on the horizon. Folks who receive my newsletter have gotten a preview of some of those projects - subscribe today so you don’t miss out on future announcements!
xx,
Callahan
